Thank you so much to all of you that made the effort to attend the first WAND AGM on June 11th -The weather was warm, but the wine was cold...
We are delighted to announce that we have a new chair woman in Carol Lewis, and Gail Hicks, agreed to continue as Treasurer, with Anna Lovell as membership secretary.
The guest speaker, Tracy Smith, was brilliant, and we were all a bit emotional at the end of her talk, and I am sure we will be adding her special charity, NACOA, as one of our projects, Tracy has also kindly agreed to become our patron, so we expect a mention on Womens hour next time she appears on it.
If you would like to help with any aspect of WAND from helping put up posters, or running a group in your area, please do get in touch!

We had a fab time at the frock market on June 11th and 12th. Thank you so much for all your support ( and our new outfits).
It was a bit strange at first , using the Dorchester Council Chamber as a changing room, but it worked out well and we raised £233 towards next years Dorset Women's Day, which was great.
Our next event will be on the 26th November, again at the Town Hall, and gain on the Saturday, in the Corn Exchange, along side our craft event. |

This years Dorset Womens day was the most successful yet - we counted more than 527 women attending! No wonder the lunch queue was so long! The event was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Dorchester, Kate Hebditch, who also tried on the 'Stamp Out Domestic Violence Shoe' -it didnt fit.... |
