Women’s Action Network Dorset are hosting a series of Women’s Health Events over the winter of 2022/23 leading up to the Dorset Women’s Health Symposium on 9th March 2023. We are delighted to bring you the first of this series on the subject of the Menopause.

The subject of menopause is receiving a lot of attention and rightly so. It affects hundreds of women and its impact can vary; affecting some women mildly but others catastrophically and everything in between.

We are delighted to host this online seminar and introduce 5 local experts who will give a holistic view of menopause from all angles.

Dr Andie Siggers, Women’s Health Specialist, will open and chair the event and talk about why we need to view menopause holistically.

Dr Tim Hillard, Consultant Gynaecologist, will talk about the medicine, the up to date research and what happens when menopause becomes challenging.

Dr Sarah Hillier, Programme Lead in Nutrition at Bournemouth University, will talk about menopause and nutrition.

Katie Davies, Health and Physical Activity Officer at Active Dorset, will talk about movement & physical activity and their impact on hormones and the menopause.

Nicola Green, specialist and trainer in menopause and the workplace, will talk about how employers can support women experiencing the menopause at work.

Tickets: £5

The seminar will take place using Zoom.
